The audience salutes as the color guard retrieves the flags at the end of an emotional Veterans Day ceremony at the Minneapolis, Minnesota VA Home on Nov. 11, 2004, attended by Gov. Tim Pawlenty and U.S. Sens. Mark Dayton and Norm Coleman, along with Marland Ronning, MN American Legion Commander, and Maj. Gen. Doyle Larson, USAF (retired).
These Veterans Day (Nov. 11th) panoramas were shot for a collaborative vr project remembering the end of "The War To End All Wars."
In the U.S. there is no specific ceremony marking the end of World War One. Instead, Nov. 11 is recognized as Veterans Day, a time for honoring veterans of all wars. (Like my father, Lee S. Fink, who served in World War Two, Korea, and Vietnam.)
Visit our international collaborative project to see 360 degree panoramas of some of the battlefields of WWI and various Nov. 11th memorials and ceremonies around the world.
