The Hennepin Ave. Bridge is at the site of the first permanent bridge across the Mississippi River, anywhere along it's length. The large building at the base of the bridge on the right is the Minneapolis Post Office, and is on the site of the first permanent white dwelling on this side of the river.

Holidazzle Christmas parade in downtown Minneapolis.
Because of the height of the IDS building, this was one of the first panoramas where I shot a separate "zenith" shot to patch in overhead. It worked much better than I thought it would, and I was happy with this panorama for a little while.
But now, with my new camera and lens, I can turn out much better down panoramas of downtown. Check out my panoramas of the Mary Tyler Moore statue with the Wells Fargo Building and the IDS Building, taken just a block down the street with my Nikon D70 and Sigma 8mm.
