I love to shoot panoramas of crowds, not because of the challenge, but because IF done right, it can so show an absolutely fascinating illusion of a moment frozen in time.
Of course, this really IS an illusion, as my panoramas are made up of 4 or more photos stitched together. My Ice Palace crowd shots are actually NINE "moments frozen in time!"
The audience sings "God Bless America" during an emotional Veterans Day ceremony at the Minneapolis, Minnesota VA Home on Nov. 11, 2004, attended by Gov. Tim Pawlenty and U.S. Sens. Mark Dayton and Norm Coleman, along with Marland Ronning, MN American Legion Commander, and Maj. Gen. Doyle Larson, USAF (retired).
These Veterans Day (Nov. 11th) panoramas were shot for a collaborative vr project remembering the end of "The War To End All Wars."
In the U.S. there is no specific ceremony marking the end of World War One. Instead, Nov. 11 is recognized as Veterans Day, a time for honoring veterans of all wars. (Like my father, Lee S. Fink, who served in World War Two, Korea, and Vietnam.)
Visit our international collaborative project to see 360 degree panoramas of some of the battlefields of WWI and various Nov. 11th memorials and ceremonies around the world.

Snow sculpture of King Kong dressed in winter attire climbing the Foshay Tower. Sculptors Matt Peick, Scott Sayre, and Tony Horning took 2nd Place and the Vulcan's Choice award at the 2005 St. Paul Winter Carnival Snow Sculpting competition.
Thinking it unfair to attack a St. Paul building during the St. Paul Winter Carnival, the team chose the distinctive Foshay Tower from neighboring Minneapolis for their design.
